Curtain Steam Cleaning in Dubai

On-site steam cleaning for curtains and drapes, carried out while they remain hanging. We assess the fabric, lining and construction first, then treat what the material will safely take.

Trained and vetted cleaning teams  ·  Carefully selected professional cleaning products

Minimum upholstery booking AED 250

What Curtain Steam Cleaning Involves

Curtains hold dust, cooking residue, airborne oils and, in Dubai, a steady load of fine sand carried in through open doors and balconies. Most of it settles into the weave and along the header and hem, where it is not visible until the fabric is disturbed.

We clean curtains in place, on the rail. The fabric is vacuumed, tested for colour-fastness, then steam cleaned panel by panel with the equipment set to what the material will take. Curtains are left hanging to dry, which lets gravity keep the drape straight.

This is a cleaning service — not dry cleaning, laundering, re-dyeing, repair, alteration or restoration. We do not take curtains down for off-site washing.

Included as Standard

Every curtain booking includes the following as part of the standard service.

When Curtain Cleaning Is Worth Booking

Every 6 to 12 Months

Routine maintenance for curtains in rooms that are used daily.

Balcony and Window Facing

Panels beside doors and openings collect the most dust and fine sand.

Kitchen and Dining Areas

Cooking residue settles into the weave and dulls the fabric over time.

Dust Sensitivity

Cleaning removes accumulated dust from the accessible fabric surfaces. It does not eliminate allergens entirely.

Moving In or Out

Commonly booked alongside move-in or move-out cleaning.

Before Guests or an Event

A refresh that lifts dust and re-dresses the drape without taking anything down.

How Curtain Cleaning Is Carried Out

Five stages. The team confirms each one with you on site before proceeding.

01

Assessment

We identify the fabric, lining and construction, measure the drop, count the panels and inspect for stains, odour, sun damage and weakened fibre.

02

Colour-Fastness Test

A discreet area — usually behind a pleat or at the hem — is tested for colour-fastness and product suitability before anything is applied to visible fabric.

03

Dry Vacuuming

The face, reverse where reachable, header tape, pleats, leading edges and hem are vacuumed to lift dust and fine sand before moisture is introduced.

04

Steam Cleaning

Panels are steam cleaned in place, worked top to bottom, with the equipment set to what the fabric and lining will safely take.

05

Drying and Dressing

Curtains stay hanging so gravity holds the drape. Once surface moisture has gone we dress the folds back into shape.

How to Prepare

Rails, Access and Handling

Curtains are cleaned on the rail. We need clear standing room at the window and, for long drops, space to set up access equipment safely.

We do not remove curtains, dismantle rails or tracks, or refit poles and fixings. Where a rail, bracket or fixing is already loose, damaged or carrying more weight than it was built for, we will point it out and will not work on that panel until it has been made safe.

Very high or stairwell-height drops may need equipment we cannot always bring on the day. Tell us the approximate drop when you enquire so the right team is sent.

Drying and Ventilation

Curtains cleaned on the rail usually feel dry to the touch within 3 to 6 hours. This is an estimate, not a fixed or guaranteed drying time.

Fabric weight, lining, ventilation, humidity and soil level all affect how long drying takes. A heavy blackout-lined panel in a closed, humid room will take considerably longer than an unlined sheer beside an open window.

To Help Them Dry

Please Avoid

We recommend a morning appointment so the panels have the full day to dry and settle back into their folds.

Important Limitations and Exclusions

Best possible results are subject to curtain fabric, lining, construction, stain type, stain age, prior treatment and pre-existing condition.

Fabric Behaviour

Stains, Odour and Condition

Where we can see in advance that a fabric carries real risk, or that a mark is unlikely to improve, we will tell you before starting so you can decide whether to proceed.

Common Questions

No. We clean curtains in place, hanging on the rail. That avoids transport, avoids the risk of panels coming back a different length, and lets gravity hold the drape straight while they dry.

A typical room of lined curtains takes around 45 to 90 minutes depending on the drop and panel count. The team gives you an estimate on site once they have measured and assessed the fabric.

Some fabrics carry a shrinkage risk — unlined cotton, linen and loosely woven natural fibres most of all — and it may not be reversible. We assess the fabric first and will tell you before starting if we think the risk is real.

We will treat it, but complete stain removal cannot be promised. Old, set-in, previously treated, mould-marked and sun-bleached marks frequently remain visible after cleaning.

Complete odour removal cannot be promised. Odour reduction depends on the source, how deeply it has penetrated the fabric and lining, and how long it has been there.

No. We do not claim sanitisation or sterilisation. This is a steam cleaning service that lifts soiling from the accessible fabric surfaces.

No. Sun damage is fibre degradation, not soiling. Cleaning does not restore colour or fibre strength, and sun-weakened fabric can thin, split or tear during normal handling. We will point it out before starting.

Usually, yes — but blackout and thermal linings can delaminate, bubble or separate from the face fabric where the bonding has already started to fail. We check the lining first and tell you what we find.
