Before the deep cleaning visit
Start by identifying the rooms and problem areas that need attention. Share photographs of heavy soil, staining, difficult access or delicate finishes so the cleaning company can assess the work accurately.
- Remove valuable, fragile and personal items from the work area.
- Confirm parking, lift bookings and building-access requirements.
- Identify surfaces that need special handling, including natural stone, wood and delicate fabrics.
- Agree which appliances, cupboards, balconies and internal windows are included.
- Explain any known damage, leaks, mould, pest activity or maintenance problems.
Kitchen deep cleaning checklist
Kitchens usually require the most detailed degreasing and hand work. The final scope should state whether appliance interiors and cupboard interiors are included.

What deep cleaning does not include automatically
A cleaning scope is not the same as maintenance or restoration. Repairs, painting, pest control, mould remediation, AC duct cleaning, waste removal, heavy furniture dismantling and specialist surface restoration should be agreed separately with the appropriate provider.
